Melba is getting ready for a gig at the Lincoln Center, New York City on July 13, 2009. She was talking the other day about being a jazz singer and reflecting on her time as a backing singer for Smokey Robinson. “You can only sing OOH, OOH, OOH, just so many times” she said.
