The concept of "freedom" seems to have been taken quite lightly in this article. If we could ask some of the truly great women and men the same question, I doubt their responses would include the likes of wet wipes or chardonnay.
In recent decades, certain time-consuming domestic chores have been made faster and simpler (avoiding for the moment the issue of ecological impact).
But have we women become more free?
Freedom is to be one's own master. We are not in chains, and yet we are slaves of materialism, of fashion designers, of a modern "culture" which encourages us to drink chardonnay and be sexy. In short, to seek satisfaction outside of ourselves.
True freedom comes from within.

Many of us now know that men and women are equal but different. A man and his wife are like two wheels on a cart - both pulling in the same direction, but on different sides. If one is without the other, both are useless and the cart goes around in circles.
